INTRODUCTION

PURPOSE: This Policy describes how Twins Rock Media collects, uses and discloses personal information from you when you visit and use the Synchronicity website, http://www.synchronicityapp.io, the Synchronicity mobile application and other services we provide (collectively, the “App”). By using the App you are accepting the practices set forth in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, then you must not access or use the App.

This Policy only applies to the App, and not to any other websites or applications that you may be able to access from the App, each of which may have data collection and use practices and policies that differ materially from this Policy.

NOTICE CONCERNING AGE RESTRICTION: We do not allow persons under the age of 18 to use any of the features or services we offer through the App, and we do not direct any of our content specifically at children less than 18 years of age. We understand and respect the sensitive nature of children’s privacy online. If you are a parent or legal guardian who discovers that your child has provided us with information, you may email us at support@twinsrockmedia.com and we will promptly delete such information from our files.

INFORMATION COLLECTION PRACTICES

INFORMATION WE OBTAIN FROM FACEBOOK. In order to register with the App, you will be asked to sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you are authorizing us to access certain Facebook account information, including information about you and your Facebook friends who might be common Facebook friends with other App users. By allowing us to access your Facebook account, you understand that we may obtain certain information from your Facebook account, including your name, email address, birthday, work history, education history, current city, pictures stored on Facebook, and the names, profile pictures, relationship status, and current cities of your Facebook friends. We only obtain information from your Facebook account that you specifically authorize and grant us permission to obtain.

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE DIRECTLY TO US: In operating the App, we will collect personal information that you provide to us. When you register with the App, you provide your email address, mobile phone number, zip code, and gender. You may also provide additional information about yourself (such as your school, occupation, current city, etc.) in order to build your App profile. Any information that you provide in the non-personal identifiable section of your profile will be viewable by other App users.

EMAILS: We require an email address from you when you register with the App. We use your email for both “administrative” (e.g., confirming your registration, notifying of matches) and “promotional” (e.g., newsletters, new product offerings, special discounts, event notifications, special third-party offers) purposes. Email messages we send you may contain code that enables our database to track your usage of the e-mails, including whether the e-mail was opened and what links (if any) were clicked. You may opt-out of receiving promotional emails and other promotional communications from us at any time via the opt-out links provided in such communications, or by e-mailing support@twinsrockmedia.com with your specific request. We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to the App such as service announcements, security alerts, update notices, or other administrative messages) without affording you the opportunity to opt out of receiving such communications.

TEXT MESSAGES: We require a mobile telephone number in order to connect you with your match by text message. We will also share your first name at this time with your match. We do not share your phone number with your match during this process. We may also send text messages to your mobile phone for purposes of communicating with you about the App. By registering with the App you authorize us to send text messages to your mobile phone for the purposes described in this policy.

ONLINE SURVEY DATA: We may periodically conduct voluntary member surveys. We encourage our members to participate in such surveys because they provide us with important information regarding the improvement of the App. We do not link the survey responses to your name or email address, and all responses are anonymous.

INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY: When you visit or use the App we collect and store certain information about you, your computer and/or mobile device and your activities. This information includes (i) your mobile device’s unique ID number; (ii) your mobile device’s geographic location when you first register for the App; (iii) technical information about your computer and/or mobile device (e.g., type of device, web browser or operating system, IP address) to analyze trends, administer the site, prevent fraud, track visitor movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information; and (iv) how long you used the App and which services and features you used.

COOKIES: We use “cookies” to keep track of some types of information while you are visiting the App or using our services. “Cookies” are very small files placed on your computer, and they allow us to count the number of visitors to our Website and distinguish repeat visitors from new visitors. They also allow us to save user preferences, track user trends and learn which parts of the App are useful and which parts need improvement. You can choose whether to accept cookies by changing the settings on your browser but the App may not function properly if your browser is set to reject all cookies. If you choose to disable this function, your experience on the App may be diminished and some features may not work as they were intended.

WEB BEACONS: We also utilize “web beacons” (also known as “clear gifs” and “pixel tags”) which are small transparent graphic images that are often used in conjunction with cookies in order to further personalize the App for our users and to collect a limited set of information about our visitors. We may also use web beacons in email communications in order to understand the behavior of our customers, such as whether an email has been opened or acted upon.

SOCIAL NETWORKS: Our App allows you to register using social networking platforms and to interact with and through those social networks. We may collect information you choose to allow us to access, using those social networking platforms through which you have registered with us. We may track your check-ins and activities on the App, and on third party sites that use our services and compare them to others in the community. We may use this information to process and display your rankings, rewards, recognitions within the App, to perform analytics, as well as to sort and filter information to tailor user experience. By use of the App, you agree and authorize the App to share some of your information with social networks you are a member of, or on which the App is hosted on and we are not responsible for their use of your information. You should review the applicable privacy policies for these third-party social network providers.

USE AND SHARING OF INFORMATION

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION: The information we collect is used to improve the content and the quality of the App, and without your consent we will not otherwise share your personal information with any other party(s) for commercial purposes, except as necessary to provide the App, when we have your permission, or under the following instances:

Service Providers. We may share your information with our third-party service providers that support various aspects of our business operations (e.g., analytics providers, security and technology providers, and payment processors).

Legal Disclosures and Business Transfers. We may disclose any information without notice or consent from you: (a) in response to a legal request, such as a subpoena, court order, or government demand; (b) to investigate or report illegal activity; (c) to enforce our rights or defend claims; and (d) in an emergency to protect the personal safety of the App’s employees, customers or other persons. We may also transfer your information to another company in connection with a merger, corporate restructuring, sale of any or all of our assets, or in the event of bankruptcy.

Aggregate Data. We may combine non-personally identifiable information (“PII”) we collect with additional non-PII collected from other sources for our blog. We also may share aggregated, non-PII with third parties, including advisors, advertisers and investors, for the purpose of conducting general business analysis.

By accepting this Privacy Policy, you agree and authorize the App to share your personal information with third parties as set forth in this policy.

ACTIVITY WITHIN THE APP: We use your information to analyze our App traffic, to diagnose problems with our server, to administer our site, or to display the content according to your preferences. Traffic and transaction information may also be shared with business partners and advertisers on an aggregate and anonymous basis. We may use the information we collect from you to (i) facilitate matches with other App users; (ii) respond to your comments and questions and provide customer service; (iii) communicate with you about the App and related offers, promotions, news, upcoming events, and other information we think will be of interest to you; (iv) monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities; (v) investigate and prevent fraud and other illegal activities; and (vi) provide, maintain, and improve the App and our overall business.

USE FOR RESEARCH: We use the information from you and your experiences to continue our research into successful relationships, including how to create and foster these relationships, so that we may continue to improve the App experience. This research may be published in our blogs or interviews. All of your responses will be kept anonymous, and we no personal information will be published.

USE OF COOKIES: We may use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests, to save your password so you don’t have to re-enter it each time you visit our site, or for other purposes. Promotions or advertisements displayed on our site may contain cookies. We do not have access to or control over information collected by outside advertisers on our site.

REFERRING YOUR FRIENDS: We encourage you to refer your friends to the App by sending us your friends’ email addresses. We will keep this information in our database, and send these friends a one-time email containing your name and inviting them to visit our site. This email will also include instructions on how to opt out and unsubscribe from our email list. You agree that you will not abuse this feature by entering the email addresses of those individuals who would not be interested in the App.

UPDATING OR REMOVING ACCOUNT INFORMATION: You may review or edit your profile as you wish, by logging into your App account using the information supplied during the registration process. You may also ask us to delete your account information by emailing us at support@twinsrockmedia.com with subject line “Delete My Account.”

THIRD PARTY SITES: The App may contain links to other websites. If you choose to click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s website. The fact that we link to a website is not an endorsement, authorization or representation of our affiliation with that third party, nor is it an endorsement of their privacy or information security policies or practices. We do not exercise control over third party websites. These other websites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you. Other websites follow different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the personal information you submit to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policies or statements of the other websites you visit.

PUBLIC FORUMS: The App may include interactive forums such as messaging channels, message boards and chat rooms. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.

SECURITY

The App may store and process personal information in the United States and other countries. The App takes reasonable measures in an effort to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information that we obtain from you. However, unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, the inherent insecurity of the Internet and other external factors beyond our control may compromise the security of your personal information at any time. Thus, we do not guarantee the security of your personal information nor do we make any other assurances about our ability to prevent any loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. Accordingly, we will have no liability to you or to any third party arising out of any such loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information.
